2026 PIT Count-Ensure Everyone Gets Counted

The 2025 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. on January 22, 2026, through 8:00 a.m. on January 23, 2026. During this 24-hour period, trained volunteers help survey individuals in our community who are experiencing both sheltered and unsheltered homelessness. This effort also includes the Housing Inventory Count (HIC), which captures the community’s temporary and permanent housing capacity across the full housing continuum. The PIT Count and HIC are federally required activities for the Continuum of Care (CoC) and are necessary to maintain eligibility for homelessness assistance funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

For the 2026 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, the Fayetteville/Cumberland County Continuum of Care on Homelessness will rely on volunteers to canvass all areas of Cumberland County and complete the unsheltered count. More than 100 volunteers are needed to support this community-wide effort. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up using the QR code below.
